I thought nothing could be worse than the coming attractions for this lousy movie, “Wall Street 2: Boredom Never Sleeps”, wherein in they use the tedious and childling “Sympathy For The Devil” to no effect what so ever.
But I was wrong.
Oliver Stone, the bloke who brought us Nine Inch Nails terrific “Natural Born Killers” soundtrack, keeps on shoving David Byrnes and Brian Eno pathos “Home” down our throats. Look at it this way, if you could stomach their 2008, Everything That Happened Happened Today perhaps this banal claptrap is for you. If, however, you have ears, you will loath WS2 from the get go if only for the use of “Home”.
However, the song does suit the fairy tale emotionally vapid bullshit movie it is used so promiscuously to pull out emotions neither song nor movie deserves in the slightest. I have never seen such a load of old cobblers in my life. This movie is such toxic bullshit it has you rooting for the bad guys.
Mush brained nonsense just like the song “Home”.
