My Fave Tracks, Tuesday September 28th, 2010 – by Iman Lababedi

1. Wouldn’t It Be Nice – The Beach Boys – Warren Beatty hijacked the song on one of his great movies, “Shampoo”. Is it worth mentioning Warren wasn’t cool because he fucked everybody? He fucked everybody because he was cool.
2. Let It Go – The Black Ryder – Is this really experimental? Really? Electrnoic and a little weird, sure. But experimental?
3. Survival Instincts – Rausch – The start? A brilliant rip of “Bohemian Rhapsody”.
4. Out Of Goodbyes (feat Lady Antebellum) – Maroon 5 – My big pop tune of the moment.
5. I Can Always Dream – Elizabeth And The Catapults – Can’t choose between concords and dischords.
6. The Other One’s – The Hush Nows – Great opening lick. It makes the song special.
7. Northern Islands – Blank Dogs – I’ll get around to writing about this guy.
8. A More Perfect Union – Titus Andronicus
9. Lunatic, Lunatic, Lunatic – Margot And The Nuclear So And Sos – Simone went to see em on Sunday with her boyfriend and has subsequently disappeared.
