June 2008, Roxanne Davis filed a lawsuit against Johnny Lydon – after he allegedly called her a “cunt” and punched her in the face for providing an inferior accommodation Los Angeles Ritz Carlton hotel.
Davis at the time was working for a reality TV show that Lydon was judging on (what the hell show was it cuz I cant recall one- it may have never made it to network?) accused the star of sexual harassment, assault and battery.
Having spent time next to Mr Lydon I can attest that he is capable of that, but that was nearly 30 years ago.
The matter was settled out of court but what I find most interesting is how vague the story is in general
“I don’t like these shower caps you cunt’, seriously? Pow!
There is way more to this, but we really don’t care do we?
Settled out of court the topic is closed but still got Johnny a headline. Woot!

I was once in the lobby of a very expensive hotel talking with Lydon and we had gotten a little drink, nothing spectacular and a very rude woman came over and told us to shut up because we were disturbing everybody. Complete nonsense. She had recognized Lydon. I was ready to deck her, Lydon turned to her, said: “You have made your point now please go away” and that was that.
The moral: Lydon knew the price of losing his cool and Helen is right about there being more to the story.
