Life’s An Electric Zoo, Day 2 Preview by Woody Fuller

Lets pretend you just spent your  Labour Day Saturday at Randall’s Island megaparty Electric Zoo enjoying one great DJ after anotherm ot your world rocked, then went out to after party and stayed up until, god knows how late.  Well then, Rise and Shine, we’re only half way done dudes!
Sunday has a nasty line up of DJs, ranging from internationally famous and acclaimed to unknowns. I’m equally boosted for everyone. Why can’t I hear every?
Personally, after discovering Orchard Lounge at Bisco this past summer, I’v been dying to catch the trio at work again, Diplo, another Bisco act will also be playing, they rock as well. So I would surely recommend hitting up their sets.
The “Off my bucket list” bands, include..
Savoy from Boulder, whose re-mixing, re-mashing, and re-editing skillz are up there with the best of the best. They have a neat, unique take on their remixes, easy to like, easier to dance with. “Back to Basics,” a very sick track off their free EP, Nothin for Nothin, which you can get at http://www.myspace.com/savoyband, is a must listen to really grasp what Savoy is capable is deploying on ya. “Life of the Party,” is also a song that could, guess what, be the life of the party, and drops some heavy electro lines on you, these guys will be a great addition to the already pumpin scene at the Zoo.

Boys Noize will also be in the house, gracing the Main Stage, who was one of the first DJs that got me so turned on by all this electro-funk, he will be one act you will not want to miss.
And last, but certainly not least on my bucket list, is Mr. Steve Aoki. One of the cream of the crop, dance/house music engineers out there. Between his combination of his completely bumping EP “I’m in The House”, and his countless, sick nasty remixes, Aoki is a Dance Music God. If you haven’t hear his remix of Kudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness,” Holy Shit! Listen it right now, I’ll wait…. I know right, that songs is a different level of pump-up dance crunkness. ( that song more or less on repeat insured to keep me awake and studying during an allnighter I had to pull last year during exams. Thanks for your help with that A bro.) I can only imagine what Aoki has in store to deliver this Sunday.

Armin Van Buuren is headlining, not one to fib, so ill admit, I have never heard of him. I feel as if I should have, but hey, you cant hear of everyone. Apparently, is must be pretty sweet or he wouldn’t be headlining, right? We’ll all find out soon enough.

I almost forgot to put in my 2 cents on BassNectar, 1 cent per word; Face Melting. Check out his AllGood set on youtube, search for “BassNectar glow-stick wars”, yes i know is just glow, but its very very cool and almost a once in lifetime experience to battle in, bring mucho ammo.

Again, no party complete w/o a wild and crazy after party, Sundays will also be at Pacha NYC, where Israeli melodic techno master Guy Gerber headlines with a SURPRISE GUEST from the festival’s main stage along with many more to be announced.
