Props to Woody Fuller for putting on the first (of many I’m sure) 4theLove Music Fest…the night was a blast. The turnout may not have been what we all had hoped for, but everyone who showed up seemed to enjoy themselves greatly. The performers have already been well-documented by my fellow RockNYCers Iman and Woody, but I just wanted to recap my experience of the night.
As Fuzzy G’s DJ (D.A.M the DJ), I must say our performance rocked. Obviously I didn’t get to watch the performance from the audience’s perspective, but we felt really good on stage. Because our drummer Chas “Chooky” Derr lives in DC, we are not able to practice ever. In fact, our first rehearsal in months came about 3 hours before we hit the stage on Saturday night! However, no one would have known that because we were actually in sync with one another and the crowd was rockin’ with us.
Which takes me to my next point…SHOUT OUT TO OUR DEVOTED FANS!!! Fuzzy G performances are never the same without you guys; we really do feed off of you, especially Fuzzy himself. You guys rocked out with us this weekend and because of that Fuzzy put on a wildly energetic, passionate, and inspired show for you. Chas and I were happy to play along, and it seemed like you all really enjoyed it.
So shout outs to you, the fans, for helping making that night fun for us. We needed you there to rock out with us, and you (as always) didn’t disappoint!
Holla
