I hate Saturday Night Live. Everything about it screams that someone should mercy kill it. The jokes are bad the actors have never been worse and well sleep is of greater enjoyment than watching Bobby Moynihan wrinkle up his dough face into poses of idiocy.
But a Christmas miracle is happening! The unstoppable (like seriously who would want to stop him?) JT takes over their holiday show with bro Jimmy Fallon and I ain’t gonna lie- I expect magic. The guy who gave us the dancing soup cup and the anthemic “Dick In A Box” is back and Im so excited to see what he will serve up this year. How exactly can you maintain such high standard? How heavy the holiday burden on our boy! When Fallon and Timberlake join up- hilarity ensues.
When you start off with Paul McCartney singing “Merry Little Christmas” you set yourself up for goals unheard of. Right down to the adorable snow.. and I DONT EVEN LIKE MCCARTNEY! The magic of Fallon just radiates.
The problem is even with the dynamic duo– the writing sucks. There is only so much they can do- and it aint enough. For the record whomever is shrieking in the audience should be bitchslapped electrocuted and thrown out. Seriously, shut the fuck up with the yelling, we know it’s live and ok all your friends know you’re there and it makes the bad sketches all the worse.
Although the Bee Gee’s bit was lame as hell, it was awesome to see that Barry is ALIVE! Looking a bit like Ben Franklin but the 30 seconds of high pitch honk was nostalgia enough to make it a holiday moment.

The musical bit? “Only When I Walk Away “, seemed a bit more like The Wizard of Oz rips off Kanye, didnt he use the same laser bit? I think he may have but hey it’s better than the usual small stage I guess. Wow, Justin has a really giant head in this! and yeah he’s got that sexy swagger but.. I think he’s a better comedian than singers so .. I’ll go grab a snack.
Iman my dear sits on the other side of the fence
“itunes called Justin their artist of the year and me? I saw him at Yankee Stadium, the VMAs and Barclay Center, and no doubt, the man is great. This disco banger with the song and dance man in the middle of a laser show and a back up band morphing from techno to funk and back on “Only When I Walk Away” -the definition of a whatever ever track, is to remind you that the man is becoming a legend for good reason. Unfortunately, he isn’t enough to save yet another terrible episode of SNL, who can take two of our funniest stars and make them completely useless.”
