Downloaded 8 songs from ITunes. Noticed that I didn’t say 8 “new” songs. Of the 8, 2 are older songs, 2 are re-makes.
Here’s my list….
Home – Dream Theater. Saw these guys open for Iron Maiden last month. Outstanding performance. This song is one of many epics from the local Long Island band.
Doctor Doctor – UFO. I was never into this band until recently. This song was playing on the PA system at MSG at the above mentioned Maiden/DT show. I quickly took note of this song, and had to down load it. Great piece of work.
Thorn In My Pride (Acoustic) and Jealous Again (Acoustic) – The Black Crowes. They just released a new album of 20 of their older songs redone acoustically called “Croweolgy”. I only purchased these two songs, but after listening to them a few times, it may entice me to download more from Crowelogy.
Everyman and Woman is A Star – The Cult. These guys were the first concert I ever went to, for that, there will always be a special place in my heart for this band. I just hope that with the release of this song, that the boys plan on releasing a new kick-ass album.
American Slang – The Gaslight Anthem. This was a free song on ITunes, and if it wasn’t, I would have paid the $1.29. It is great song, from this new great band. I am definitely going to pursue more from these guys.
Billionaire – Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars. Not my usual style in music, but I just love the guys voice. Great chill out song. And, who doesn’t want to be Billionaire?
If Its Love – Train. Another non-rock band that I fully enjoy. This is just another great song from the guys that brought you Hey Soul Sister and Drops of Jupiter.
