“Are You Experienced” by Jimi Hendrix And The Experience: “It makes me look cool” by Mary Magpie

So many people make such a huge deal out of Jimi Hendrix. I get it, he was super talented and a huge influence on music, but I never had any interest.
“Purple Haze” makes me want to pick up a guitar, and it doesn’t matter if I’m playing. It’d just make me look cool. Because if I played this, my fingers would more than likely fall off. He definitely has a sound that’s stuck around for a while, and this song proves that it’s because it is universal and classic, so it’ll never die. It pretty much satisfies anybody with any musical taste with the diversity in the short 2 minutes and 54 seconds, which is impressive.
As for “Fire”, it definitely has a much more modern sound, pretty much like something you’d even hear on the radio today. To have a timeless sound is what makes Hendrix legend, a household name, and a role model for hundreds of guitar players. No one can truly imitate his playing, and this song shows off his extreme talent.
“The Wind Cries Mary” caught my attention, only for the title, but when listening to it, besides getting excited each time I heard my name, I focused on the guitar playing. Absolutely mind-blowing. Beautiful, impressive, outstanding. Not enough adjectives can describe it.
Mr. Jimi Hendrix is a legend for a reason. I would even go as far as he is the best guitar player to ever live(which lots of people say is debatable). Regardless, rest well, Jimi.
