rock nyc faves Screaming Females, have a new song and nouns (Marissa’s other band) have one old, one new song available for downloading.
The old Nouns song “Holy Hell” was a fave here a coupla months ago and still sounds good. Of the two newbies, I haven’t downloaded yet, but “I Don’t Mind It” seems a little less strident and a little more (wow!!) prog rock. All those guitar frills!! But nothing distracts from the heavy, heavy drumming, a great guitar outro end and of course Marissa’s penetrating voices all the way through. Promises well for the upcoming Castle Talk.
PS? Screaming Females are playing at Siren Fest, Coney Island, Saturday at 2pm. If you’re gonna be there don’t miss em.
