That title is lame. But so is this post. By now you have heard that Lost Prophets front man Ian Watkins plead guilty to a bunch of sex crimes and well, it was a bit of a shock. I mean a stereotypical brain cant sort the thought of a grown man raping an 11 month old. It just doesn’t seem possible but of course it is. The guy I saw at Warped in 2012– was getting busy with the diaper set.
His life is over. If he isn’t killed in prison he will off himself for sure. How do you go on when the title of baby raper is on your head? The details of this scenario or scarce.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of attempting to rape an 11-month-old baby and sexually assaulting a child aged under 13. He further admitted aiding and abetting a female, one of two co-defendants who cannot be identified for legal reasons, in the sexual assault of a child under 13.
He also pleaded guilty to several counts of possession of indecent photographs of a child, possessing extreme pornography depicting a person engaged in a sex act with an animal, and two counts of taking indecent photographs of children in 2007 and 2008.
He pleaded not guilty to two counts of raping an 11-month-old baby.
He had zoo porn. What is ‘extreme porn’? I am not making light of this but I will not feign ‘shock and disgust’ over it. Humans are weak, humans are animals and well, shit like this happens. It is surprising only that it is a public figure and all over the music news feeds- but it happens every single day and that guy on the bus next to you could be doing the same thing.
Lost Prophets were an awesome band. I feel badly for the animals, the children and the band who now no longer have a job. As for Watkins- the legal system will tend to him.
