Rockin’ Legends Pay Tribute To Jack White

Celebrate Me

Jack White is 38 years old and has the ego of a much older man. Older as in having accomplished a whole lot more to be arrogant about.  One of his greatest characteristics is his smugness.  It is part of the whole eccentric image.

So what better way to showcase this megalomaniac than a tribute album- to himself!  See this is what we need more of- artists paying homage to themselves using their own influences.  Its endearing for it’s sheer crassness.

I must say that for the most part I really dig Jack White.  I loved Blunderbuss I have considered the White Stripes one of my favorite groups and well I’ve never been too put off by his odd behavior.  I also have never been to a live show where he has had a tantrum- had I been in attendance at the Radio City Show, I may have walked away a bit less of a fan.  When I saw the Stripes live I was very much impressed and I was disappointed they threw in the towel.  But back to self loving.

The tribute album includes covers by rockabilly legends Wanda Jackson, Gary U.S. Bonds, Sonny Burgess, and more. Check out the rest of the artist roster and tracklist below it looks pretty cool!  It will be released on November 18th.
