“We Belong Together” by Randy Newman on the Toy Story 3(great movie!) soundtrack is a song that no doubt will allow the Toy Story legacy to live on.
It contains the same kind of excitement that previous songs(“You’ve Got a Friend in Me” anyone?) had, pleasing ears old and young. With feel-good, happy go lucky lyrics and beat, it’s vulnerable enough to give little kids that hint of innocence as they rock out in the back seat while their parents put it on the car radio.
As for the older fans of Toy Story, having it as a part of their childhood, it’ll shoot you right back to the time when you were excitedly waiting in line for popcorn and a soda pumped up to see Woody and Buzz do their thing.
Toy Story will live on, no doubt, because of this soundtrack.
