I like Jimmy Kimmel,…what can I say? His late show allowed me to have a close encounter with QOTSA’s Josh Homme and Paul McCartney just last week!!!! Plus he is funny and anyone who dares to mock Kanye West gets my good grades.
This week, Kimmel decided to recreate Kanye West’s last interview for the BBC, by using kids, and that was hilarious! Hilarious to hear this cute kid screaming about leather jogging pants! However Kanye West didn’t take it very well, that’s the least we can say. What? Kimmel mocking his fantastic and ever-expanding ego? The comedian got several answers from the rapper in the form of all-caps tweets. But the problem is that Kanye should have stayed quiet, very quiet, his arguments were those of a 10-year-old, his insults had the face of SpongeBob SquarePants and all he could say were things like ‘YOUR EX-GIRLFRIEND IS FUNNIER THAN YOU !’ Wow Kanye, I hear similar things at recess every day and your series of tweets put you right back into this kid’s chair on the JKL!
The rest is bad, really bad stuff, not funny at all, bragging on how much ‘GOOD PUSSY’ or how many ‘SCUM BAGS HOPING OVER FENCES TRYING TO TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR DAUGHTER’ he has had in his life, as if paparazzi were his pride now? I will never understand Kanye West. Then he went really absurd and vulgar with ‘SHOULD I DO A SPOOF ABOUT YOUR FACE OR YOU FUCKING BEN AFFLECK’ and this my friends is pretty low, does he have a beef with Affleck too?
In any case, Kanye West sounds like a baby using cheap and unimaginative replies, building the case for Kimmel even more. Slate magazine defended West to the core, accusing Kimmel of ignorance and exemplifying ‘a particularly lazy and pervasive line of thinking about Kanye West’. Oh really? That’s ridiculous! So now Kanye West is the new intellectual? The new untouchable authority that you can’t touch? Jimmy Kimmel makes fun of everyone, and it was a joke, I can’t believe all this over-analysis of the story everywhere, EVEN looking for deep racist roots in Jimmy Kimmel! Kanye is ultra rich and has all the power right now, however each one of his grandiloquent declarations screams total immature insecurity.
Angry Kanye called Kimmel after the incident, saying ‘your life is gonna be much better after you apologize’, or even more ridiculously akward things like ‘you will never be able to show your face at a 14-year-old’s high school football game and be cool again’, but Kimmel continued to make fun of him. Kanye remains an enigma to me.
