Got an email from a certain rocknycer yesterday claiming they couldn’t find anything to write about and blaming Bonnaro.
I tend to agree.
How is it possible that some bring on the usual suspects fest can blow out everything in the biz for a week.
These big rock stars, all the Jay-Z’s of the world, strutting their shit to a billion people: they’re like the girl you dated in Junior High who by the time you’re a Senior everybody has had a shot at.
There is zero exclusivity about it all.
They all sweat it out together in a huge arid playground for the terminally middle class college sopomore and/or out of work twenty something.
They think they’ve experienced something that will change them but by the end of the summer it will be a big meaningless blur.
And meanwhile the world keeps turning.
