Hundreds of hearts sharing one single bass thumping beat. Gallons of sweat being tossed around and shared between friends and strangers alike. Dancing and jammin’ out, like there really is no tomorrow. What is going on here, you ask?
Just another epic Pretty Lights show. Pretty Lights, which is made up of Derek Vincent Smith on the ones and twos, accompanied by Cory Eberhard on the drums, are both from Colorado. Their electro/funky, hip/hop sound is quite unique and a favorite for all types of people who want to experience more than just music at a show.
The last Pretty Lights show I went to, multiple extra generators had to be wheeled into the venue in an attempt to power the magnificent light show we were all about to witness, and in turn become a part of through our bodies, minds and souls.
Something, every music fan should experience in their time on this planet.
Plus, the bros of Pretty Lights currently do not posses any superiority complex. Not only were they very chill dudes, but willing to talk and “hang out” with some of us fans after all THREE shows that I was a part of.
Pretty Lights are touring this summer -mostly festivals. The dates are another post. They also have just released its newest CD to the public, free of charge as always, Dreaming of a Bigger Life. Some very rockin tracks, like their previous CD’s. It can be found at prettylightsmusic.com
