This horrible self loving video shows the slick backed Alex Turner posing like a GQ model through club and imagery while a horrible tune plays. I honestly thought it was a joke at first and the song would change to something worth hearing but it just plain didn’t happen. Gone are the clever lyrics, and I am sorry but the nasal British tone of Turner can never sound ‘sultry’ which is what I think he was going for here. Honestly, this is a case of The Strokes. Too big for their britches and trying to cash in on their looks. The difference is Julian Casablanca actually had looks and Alex has aspirations.
This tune is to drum up excitement for the upcoming album “Am”, I see no such drumming up in this crap tune. The album is due out on September 10th and if it weren’t for Spotify I would never hear it as I wouldn’t drop a dime for these guys. They have hit the skids. Far too British to be Maroon 5 and far too ugly to be 1 Direction. You actually should be high if you want to make it through this awful tune.
