No, Sabbath Assembly are loosely affiliated with the 60s cult Process Church who worshipped both Jesus and Satan -one way to cut your losses.
The Process church had rock fans (Jagger for one) and Sabbath Assembly have re-recoded their hymns and the first release (I’ve heard) is the hauntingly beautiful “We Give Our Loves” off their upcoming Restored To Life album. it’s like a spiritual by a zonked out Patricia Krenwinkel (google her, I dare you).
Very impressive and they are playing Santos Playhouse June 1st at 10pm sharp and should be well worth checking out.
