Hill allegedly failed to file tax returns for 2005, 2006 and 2007 and now owes the government an estimated 1.8 million dollars. Danbury is a ‘minimum security type facility’ and she will be put on house arrest for three additional months following her release.
Lauryn bitched on Tumblr her anger over the situation:
In the note she called the Internal Revenue Service a ‘derivative system’ of the ‘institution of slavery [and] colonialism’.”I shuddered during sentencing when I kept hearing the term ‘make the IRS whole’ … make the IRS whole, knowing that I got into these very circumstances having to deal with the very energies of inequity and resistance that created and perpetuated these savage inequalities,’ she wrote.
Which makes me laugh now that she’s behind walls like a caged dog. She’s a mother of six, did you know that? She will be working with other imamates, cleaning, doing outdoor work and helping with the education and religious departments. Regardless, not free and working- two things she seems intent against.
Earlier this year Lauryn requested the judge grant her forbearance. She filed court papers stating ‘she withdrew from society at large due to what she perceived as manipulation and very real threats to herself and her family”.
She’s a whack job and I find the entire situation hilarious. Oh and for the record her first meal in the clink was pulled pork bbq, with a side of carrots peas and sweat potatoes and a juice or milk, so luckily she can maintain that figure.
