Idol Gives, Mary Magpie Takes Back

American Idol’s “Idol Gives Back” is a great cause with a great purpose, but the show was depressing. A few parts were even graphic.
Looking forward to the more positive part of the show, The Black Eyed Peas were phenomenal as always and Taboo almost had the same exact facial expressions as Edward Scissorhands at points and made me sit and stare in disbelief.
George Lopez judging the judges was cute and funny and brutally honest.
The next part SHOCKED me. I fell out of my chair when I heard the words “I’ve got that lefty curse…” and I didn’t know what it was. THE ACADEMY IS…! The Idol contestants did a version of it and, after my fainting, I realized it was good.
Next, much to my incredible excitement, Aaron Kelly was in the bottom three. Him and Casey and who knows who else with one of them being voted off was a great feeling.
Carrie Underwood, who I have not and never will be a fan of, was not only bland but not good at all. She doesn’t have that accent, so why does she sing with it?
When Tim, Mike, and Siobhan were waiting to see which of them were in the bottom three, I was secretly hoping it was Tim or Siobhan, turned out to be Tim.
I wasn’t surprised at all. David Cook going to Etheopia was an uplifting story and wasn’t as much of a sob story as I expected.
With “Idol Gives Back” making $15 million tonight, I was impressed by America’s generosity. With Aaron Kelly unfortunately safe along with Casey, Tim was sent home. Not a surprise since he got by on his pretty face. Idol really gave back.
