Popmatters.com has the distinct honor of exclusive streaming of "Morrissey Will Never Forgive Me", the latest tune by Keith Top of The Pops. I only listened because of the title. Obviously that will be the case for many. See the issue is that Keith's vocals are similar to a screeching Bowie/Bob Geldof being chased by a wolverine. Its grating to painful but that being said my hope was the lyrics would be sassy enough to lessen that pain.
They didn't- because I coouldnt understand anything but the chorus. They say the tune was done in one take, and the lack of finesse shows in cymbals that take over the entire tune. Morrissey will forgive you cuz he wont be bothered trying to figure out what's being said.

On this lead-off track from TOTP2, “Morrissey Will Never Forgive Me”, Keith Top of the Pops takes the piss a bit, using snippets from Morrissey lyrics and then saying how the former Smith would never forgive him. The song was recorded live with full band in one take to preserve the sense of urgency in the tune. TOTP2 will be released May 17th via Corporate Records.
That being said there are some notable bits. The opening Morrissey voice over (and the closing) are cute and hopefully piss Morrissey off so he goes on a little rant and the lyric about the fain flattening his hair. That's about it. This is a parody song for Morrissey fans but its just not funny enough to stick. Using song snips is well and good but they're somewhat random. I wanted to love this- I couldn't. Listen here
