Kid Rock Is A Bargain

I have seen shit bands like Blood on The Dancefloor on Groupon, and just recently Maroon 5.  I was pretty surprised about that cuz seriously they should be free.  These are nods to the economy.  Say what you will it sucks.  Your paycheck is smaller (if you even get one) and concerts cost so much money its insane.  I am not sure how Alyson Camus and Iman Lababedi shell out the sort  of coin they do just to keep your sorry ass informed.  You should throw them a buck now and then.

Kid Rock, that greasy redneck is well aware that people are hurting.  As much as I cannot stand his music I do really like his stance on alot of matters.  Despite his repulsive exterior, he has made some rational moves, unlike most of his peers.    In acknowledgement of this poor fiscal state he is offering $20.00 tickets for every section

"Everyone knows the economy is still hurting people across the country, but I didn't want that to be a reason why everyone couldn't get out and enjoy themselves on a summer night,” explains Rock. “So we're going to throw the biggest and best party ever, with prices across the board that are reasonable and transparent. No hidden fees, no gimmicks. We're not sparing any expense on this tour, we're going over the top as always, but that doesn't mean we're going to ask the fans to pay more. If this works we're going to play to packed houses of fans who appreciate what we're doing. If it doesn't, might be a long summer. But someone has to go out there and fight these high prices and change things up, and I'm lucky enough that I can afford to take a pay cut. $20. Best night ever."

A new trend is paperless tickets.  It prevents scalping and keeps the ticket in the fans hand.  He has reserved some 'premium seats' in select venues to be sold at market value.  In effect he is scalping his own show.  Pretty noble, of course it would be even better if his music was more palatable.  http://www.livenation.com/
