What’s going on with Lou Reed? People who were excited to see him at Coachella this year are going to be very disappointed: The Velvet Underground legend has just cancelled his appearance at the festival as well as his other upcoming shows in California, on April 14th at the Warfield in San Francisco, April 16th at the Golden State Theatre in Monterey and April 17th at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles!
Wow I was almost thinking spending the money for the Orpheum gig, as I have never seen him live, and now it is not a possibility. Does he suddenly feel too old? Sick? Probably not. The website just says ‘This show has been cancelled due to unavoidable complications’ and this is quite mysterious to me. If he was sick, they wouldn’t say this! May be he didn't take the expression 'Oldchella' too well
That’s certainly a big loss for Coachella, which hasn’t posted any replacement so far.
