After damaging his vocal chords John Mayer spent FOUR MONTHS last August without saying a word and meanwhile, Lil Wayne was rushing off to hospital swigging Nyquil and Red Bull and having seizures and now they are putting their past behind them and going on the road.
Not together mind.
John, fully recovered and a one woman (Katy Perry! Take that Taylor Swift!) man, Mayer is taking to the road on a 44 date tour this summer and a different girl in… no, wait, that was the old man slut Mayer. The new Mayer is all about the grown up rock and roller and it is that one who has stopped hitting on everything that moves.
Meanwhile, after nearly dying a week ago, Weezy has taken a break from ambulance races to announce that he will be touring with the man who coulda been King but kept getting arrested T.I. Here is what Weezy said in a video: "I want to say thank you to y'all for y'all prayers and concerns, I swear to God I felt that love when I was laid up in that motherfuckng hospital. My album is still coming out March 26th, I Am Not A Human Being II. Also, I'm still going on tour, America's Most Wanted tour with some of my closest friends in the game."
Y'all for y'all prayers? Geez, not for nothing but isn't this bloke mean to have a way with words or something. Drake called him the best in the game which is, I dunno, a matter worth scrutinizing.
Between the two of em, well, maybe if they toured together right… right???? I saw Mayer play with Hova a coupla years ago and he was the best thing about the gig and Weez… he has gotta come up with the goods. But I am not a big fan of either performer. Dunno why. Weezy is too weird and mayer is too sleazy and both are absolutely terrible when it comes to ballads.
