Winner – Billie Joe Armstrong – After derailing his career with a killer alcohol addiction and interrupting a tour to support three (count em) albums last year, Billie Joe and Green Day are back with a a great live show and a new temperate viewpoint. Tough to admit you have a problem and tougher still to fix it, his Rolling Stone interview was on this side of harrowing and the news he is sober is a good one for fans like me!
Loser – Lil Wayne And Morrissey – Both of these pop superstars are pretty sick. Ever since Weezy got out of jail he has been in and out of hospital, and it would appear to be a mix of self-medication and a serious problem with seizures though no one knows why. Or maybe one is leading to another. One thing, once TMZ is reporting that you are receiving the last rites it is time to get the situation sorted. Morrissey has cancelled or hiatused tours over and over again for the past coupla years. He spends half his life getting rushed from concert halls to hospitals and sending out messages on his website about how he is really OK and why the Queen Mother deserved death. Again, time to get it sorted.
