As scheduled, Outernational has dropped another song for free download from their ‘Here Is The Rose’ EP, which will be released in its entirety on International Women’s Day, March 8th.
‘We Own The Night’, produced by Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello, is a rocking and dynamic number, with funky guitars, fierce and upbeat horns and Miles Soley’s vocals even turning all James-Brown toward the end of the song.
According to the press release, the song ‘is the late-night imaginings of a teenager struggling and yearning for a true love, strong and vibrant. In this song, we find this youngster speaking to a close friend and going all out, pushing for her to see the possibilities of diving into a fearless love imbued with mutual respect, equality and shared pleasure. A love of shared ambition to see all the other youth on a mission and ready to move’. Teenagers and love? However, it’s not puppy love they are talking about! Rather a vision of a much more intense, serious and engaged kind of love!
The band is also planning to release a full-length album ‘Welcome To The Revolution’, sometimes this summer.
