The Adam Ant Documentary: "The Blue Black Hussar"

It took just one minute for me to fall right back in to my Adam Ant obsession.  Ok so I really don’t dig the new Cap'n Crunch look and I'm not a fan of the Zombie single but I do (for better and for worse) love Adam.

Sunrise Pictures has offered us this glimpse into a new documentary on the 'dandy highwaymen' and well if the opening narration doesn’t rip your lungs out then you're a corpse.

It's easy to sit back and be judgmental on an aging sex symbol.  He's rounded and tired but he was also in an institution for mental illness.  Should we care?  I mean if you're there to entertain me well, dance and Ill judge.  I'd say this is the case 90% of the time.  But those with such dramatic circumstance, well there is a weather to them that is earned- to mock it is just cruel.

Within this short teaser we see that Ant has a fabulous sense of humor about it all.  I don’t think I could have such a disposition though I am unsure of his meds.

We do know that he failed to impress at his recent New York gig, but then again I think the put off on that was more the look than the sound.   Is it ok to constantly be in character?  I suppose if you're Ant you do as you please and those who are fans remain so.

I am interested to see this movie but I am unsure if it will get a release wide enough for me to do so.

It looks great in a very dark way.  Let's face it we would all love to turn back the clock to our glory days, we just can't. I have decided to support Adam and his pursuit of happiness, after all he brought a heap of joy to a lot of folks- so let's give it back to him now.

The film is set for spring release.
