I'd always liked the band Say Anything, but only recently have I really gotten into them. Their refreshing sound's unlike any other I've heard before, and I've been listening to nothing but them for the past few days.
You know that feeling you get in your stomach, almost like butterflies, when you listen to a great song or your favourite band? And it provides you with so much joy and you can't help but smile and want to jump around? It's undeniable and it's the greatest feeling in the world.
Say Anything gives me that feeling.
"Woe" really shows off the singer's voice. A bit of it has a Bayside feel, but only barely. Everything about this song is so perfect. There's not a single part of it that I like any less or more than another. The beat's pleasantly unpredictable, and it builds into a fantastic tune that's been on repeat for a while now.
"Belt" is a beautiful song. I've never heard anything like it before. It has the same feel as when you're driving to a concert with your friends, and you're listening to the band's songs in preparation to see them, and you have that feeling inside you that's just joy and excitement. This tune provides that.
"Chia-Like, I Shall Grow" is my favourite Say Anything song. It's not only addicting and wonderful, but the lyrics are genius. The raw emotion is gorgeous and it goes through a great progression, making it by far their best tune, and their most addictive.
