Above are a coupla pictures of Dave Grohl's estate (one of a coupla of houses he owns). I don't begrudge him, people wanna be entertained and they will pay richly for the pleasure.
But.
When Mr.Foo said he recorded his upcoming album in his garage, anybody who bought into the concept of moving the Celica and getting the kids tricycle out of the way were, as I noted, conning themselves.
It is the hight of sophistication for Grohl to take the mantle of Garage band -this is not what Strummer was writing about, when he wrote "I just wanna stay in the garage all night" or, for that matter, "the truth is only known by guttersnipes".
This is the privlige delving in half truths and straight out lights to hoodwink their fans into thinking they are one of them. Which they aren't.. To make matters words, grohl is using a loaded phrase to say a lie.
Foo fighters are NOT A GARAGE BAND, THEY DON'T COME FROM GARAGE LAND.
Foo Fighters are pampered rock royalty. And they suck live.
