By date and graded!! It was a better year for live music than recorded. The reason was, so many oldies came up with the goods on stage. Tops were McCartney and Rod Stewart. Both peaking.

Tuesday, 4th – Saint Motel at the Rock And Roll Circus lived up to the hype. Sexy, energetic bad boys. Grade: B+
Saturday, 22nd – Queers at Mercury Lounge proved exactly what you get from a life in punk rock. The ability to deliverwith ease. Grade: B+
February
Saturday 5th – Robyn at Radio city Music Hall disappointingly didn't deliver the party she is capable of. Grade: B
Thursday, 10th – Elizabeth Doolittle – I thought this UK dolly would have brooke through in 2011. At Joe's Pub she was all that. Grade: A-
Thursday, 10th – Then I rushed to Mercury Lounge and first wacthed the ridiculously reat Care Bears On Fire (A-) and topped it with Titus Andronicus (A). Amy Klein was particularly awesome.

Wednesday, 9th – Not just Superchunck (B+) but also Wild Flag (A) and Bright Eyes themselves playing too much from the newbie (B+)
Thursday, 10th – The late lamented Muse And Musing series began with folkie Christopher Paul Stelling. Grade: A
Wednesday, 16th – Elton John playing the hits? Yeah, right Grade: D
Thuesday, 17th – The last St Patty's celeberation couldn't have been better with Titus Andronicus warning us not to drink (A) and the Pogues (A) showing us what will happend if we do.
Saturday, 26th – Stevie Nicks was a disappoitnment (B-) and Rod Stewart wasn't (A) at MSG

Friday, 1st – Elvis mini set was great at MSG (A), the Strokes were okay as well (B+)
Saturday , 2nd – Same venue, next day, LCD SOundsystem said farewell. Grade: A
Tuesday, 5th- Marsha Ambrosia excellent at Irving Plaza. She even covered Jay-Z! Grade: B+
Wednesday, 13th – TV On The Radio at Radio City disappointing, so was the album. Grade: B
Thursday, 14th – Music And Music's second episode was the civil war obsessed Geoffrey Wilson's wonderful set which had the audience with more questions than I had. Grade:A-
Friday, 15th – Good night at Gramercy Theater, both DRUGS (B+) and Black Veil Brides (B+) were rocking very, very hard.
Saturday 22nd, – The biggest dog of the year, Lady Gaga didn't make it up till the end of the year. IAt the Prudential center. Grade: C-

Sunday, 1st – Marshalll Crenshaw playing his first alum at City Winery. Shoulda been better. Grade: B+
Friday, 6th – Peter Asher at Feinstein's, playing his own songs and discussing being MCCartney's rommate during Beatlemania. Grade: A-
Tuesfay, 10th – Paul Simon sucks at Beacon. Grade: B-
Thursday, 12th – The last of the Muse And Musics I mc'd with country boys Maynard And The Muskies. Grade: B+
Friday, 13th – Laura Stevenson, her Grandpa wrote Little Drummer boy, kiling it at Mercury Lounge. Grade: B+
Monday, 23rd – Reminds me of baseball, with redemption available the very next day, Elvis Costello redeems himself after National Ransom at the Beacon. Grade: A
Saturday 28th – Modern Hut test driving the songs from its upcoming release. Grade: A

Monday 13th – Brian Wilson reinventing Gershwin in front of my very eyes at Highline. Grade: A-

Thursday, 23rd – Half of Oasis, apparently the better half, at Webster Hall. Grade: B+

Saturday, 13th – Henry Santos, the former Aventura Latim American boy bander, pretty good in a truncated show. Grade: Thursday, 18th – Beyonce at the dreaded Roseland and I couldn't see a thing. Grade: B

Monday, 12th – Debbie Harry on fire leading Blondie at Highline. Grade: A
Tuesday, 13th – If Lady Gaga was the biggest disappointment of the year, please meet Mr. Runner up Steve Earle at the Town Hall. Grade: C
Saturday, 17th – Alexis James, a knockout rocker trying to decide if it is worth being something else instead. Grade: B+
Saturday 24th – Another disappointment, first Wavves make me wonder if I overestimated them yesterday (B) and then Fucked Up make me certain I estimated them right (B) at Webster Hall
Monday, 26th – rock nyc's song of the year Colbie Caillat is all of that plus great legs (A) at Best Buy. Andy Grammer (B) opened.

Saturday 1st – Panda Bear – The Animal Collective star hiding behind banks of computers and making it work. Grade: B+
Monday, 5th – Portishead at Hammerstein, would have been better if I didn't have a cold. Grade: B
Saturday 8th – Screaming Females (A-) and Hilly Eye (A-) at Bowery Ballroom
Saturday 15th – Real estate at the Beerkeiler were ok though the place was mobbed. I'll have a better idea when i see them opening for Girls next month Grade: B
Saturday, 18th – Jefferson Starship were superb at BB King's. Yup, shocked me as well. Grade: A-
Wednesday, 19th – Odd Wolf showed their age at T5. Grade: B
Sunday, 23rd – Weird Al Yankovic was surprisingly blah. Grade: B
Friday 28th – David Cassidy needs more hits but I still liked him at BB King's. Grade: B+

Wednesday, 16th – Katy Perry at MSG let me look in her eyes. Grade: A-
Saturday, 19th – Hugh Jackman made the girls swoon on Broadway. Grade: A-
Tuesday 22nd – Taylor Swift last day of her tour at MSG and never better. Highlight her duet with James taylor. Grade: A
Friday 25th – Breathe Carolina at the Studio at Webster Hall show what five years on the road can do. Grade: A-

Friday 2nd – Suzanne reel can really sing the blues (B+) and Steve Wynn is the psychedelic jam man at Bowery Electric (A-)
Tuesday, 6th – Ryan Adams quiet as a mouse at Carnegie hall. Grade: A-
Friday, 9th – Best Jingle ball ever at MSG. Grade: A
Sunday 11th – Laura Marling short but awfull sweet at McKittrick Hotel. Grade: A
Sunday, 11th – French superstar in town hall. Grade: B+
Friday, 16th – Have rave will travel to MSG with Swedish House Mafia. Grade: B+
Thursday, 22nd – Trans–Siberian Orchestra at Prudential Center bring the prog-rock. Grade: B
Saturday, 31st – Gov't Mule at Beacon – I guess we will see.
