Luther Campbell announced at the Sundance Festival this past weekend that the band will tour this summer He was in attendance at Sundance for his film “The Life and Freaky Times of Uncle Luke”, which he describes as ‘an art piece’.
Freaky indeed for a band that’s album titled “As Nasty As They Wanna Be” was judged as obscene by The US Court of Appeals in 1989
But the quote is adorable
““We’re going to perform the songs and everybody’s going to be excited,” he said. “Some of the older people of our generation will be able to tell their kids, ‘You’re staying home tonight, we’re going to see 2 Live Crew and shake our booty!’“
