1D in 3D, One Direction on The Big Screen

One Direction is on fire.  Seems you really cant get too far without hearing about them and well its movie time.  Movies about pop stars are getting more and more popular and earning some serious dough.

Justin Bieber's 2011 film grossed $73m at the box office and "Part of Me Katy Perry's film which featured her break-up with comedian Russell Brand, took $25 million.  That's no chump change.

Morgan Spurlock the film maker who brought us the fabulous documentary "Super Size Me", about the perils of fast food is taking on the pop sensation. This should add an interesting element to it all!

Simon Cowell, Owner of One Direction's record label Syco, said the film would give an "access all areas, behin19d the scenes" look at the group. "What the band have achieved is incredible," said Cowell.   "They and their fans have made history around the world – this is for them."

Well not really.  It's for the cash and I say get it while the getting is good.  What I'm most interested in here is Spurlock doing a 3D. Seems so mainstream and 'film maker-esque' from a guy who digs up the disgusting.  Wait! Maybe that's it! Perhaps Spurlock will dig up the disgusting on the One Direction boys?!

Nah, it'll be a huge love fest and will have no element of Spurlock snarky.  Damn shame. The project, produced by Sony Pictures, is due out in August 2013 next year.  Oh and this picture is creepy as hell.
