Is it too late to be grateful?

1. Station To Station Live Nassau Coliseum – David Bowie – The extended guitar intro is excellent, the groove points directly backwards to Young Americans even as it seems to jumpstart itself into a world of cocain addiction, fascist dream and insanity, and, hey, I am happy to hear it twice – A

2. Station To Station – David Bowie – Still the train cho chooing works better – A+

3. Station To Station – Melvins – The synth white noise intro works as well – A

4. Twin Mattresses – The Front Bottoms – “I asked you stay, you said ‘Hey man I love you but no fucking way'” the lead singer becries in this song of friendship and loss among the young generattion. Golk indie emo maybe, but that doesn’t do it justice – A

5. Elvis Loved His Momma – Jimmy Lafave – Best song ever written about Elvis, a rockabilly triumph! – A

6. Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucker) – Parliament – A classic anthem for all ages, it’s a song sung blue that everybody can sing – A+

7. Sit Down You’re Rockin The Boat – Stubby Keyes – And the devil will drag you under… exciting stuff from a great mmusical – A

8. Fire On The Bayou – The Meters –  Much more based oriented than the version I heard Friday night – A

9. Pass The Peas – Maceo Parker – Great horn riff – A-

10. Fill Your Heart – David Bowie – Just remember lovers never lose because they are free of thoughts impure and of thoughts unkind – A
