Yeah remember him!? That blond guy from X, I didn’t know he was ill but that’s OK cuz word is out today that he is cancer free.
Apparently in March Mr. Zoom was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I would have been so sad, but luckily ignorance IS bliss cuz now I can report hes fine! Yay!
The interesting thing here is that Billy has been an active fundraiser for USC Prostate Cancer Center, in honor of Johnny Ramone. Then he becomes a patient receiving (successful!) treatment cool karma no?
“I will need regular follow-up checks over the years, but we have arrived at the best possible outcome,” Zoom said. “It won’t affect my commitments to X, and the Billy Zoom Custom Shop is back in full production of Little Kahunas [reverb/tremelo units] and other custom electronic products. There’s still quite a back-log of orders, but I’m catching up.”
