Frank Zappa, legendary musician will have a bust statue of his likeness unveiled and dedicated in Highlandtown, MD near his home town of Baltimore on 9/18/10. It will be placed outside the Southeast Anchor Library on Eastern Ave near South Conking Street.
A Zappa fan club based in Lithuania has gifted the statue to the city.
On July 23rd The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will also honor Zappa by performing three compositions entitled “Be-Bop Tango”, “Dupree’s Paradise” and “The Dog Breath Variations” at The Meyerhoff Theater.
