Playing at the Apollo on Monday is a movie based upon Louis Armstrong where the music is performed by Wynton Marsalis and an 11 piece orchestra.
Directed by Dan Priitzker it sounds terrific but anything to do with Armstrong works for me!!! And this 70 minute kickback to the days of the silents sounds better than most.
This showing is part of a 5 date tour and it sounds wonderful. I bet it’s sold out but you should see it if you can.
