Don't you hate it when something has so much potential, but it goes the opposite way and ruins it?
That's what The Ready Set did.
His video for "Young Forever" was pretty disappointing. The song is too.
The song is overly edited, with a thick layer over his voice. He always was the artist I knew was bound to use autotune or something of that sort eventually, and I was right. It takes away from the song so much that it gets so annoying and I have to turn it off. If he hadn't used so many different effects on this track, it would've been great.
As for the video, it was an interesting concept, and entertaining for probably a lot of people but to me it just seemed lame. He stopped time to have a party. It feels as though it's been done before. The parts of it where he's performing, he does exactly what every other band in the universe does and just goes along with it, not particularly excited nor unamused.
The video and song are boring. I just wish that The Ready Set put a little more effort into things next time.
