The MIA of the world has annouced the title of her name album ‘///Y/’ , thus finally becoming too fucking cute for her own damn good.
Nobody doubts Mia’s talents, I own both albums and the remix and love em all. But there is a million miles of difference between insulting the world’s goverments for the mistreatment and poverty of the Sri Lankan people and claiming Lady Gaga stole your shit. Which she didn’t do.
This lack of proportion is endemic in rock stars: they see the fights they’ve had in the past and apply them to minor scars in the rock and roll wars.
Whatever you think of the new video, MIA is probably the single most gifted dance star in the firmament. But she’s a plank and her album title sucks, and she needs to get her fights straight.
