Worst idea Ever

Remember Dennis Quiad as Jerry Lee Lewis? Kurt Russel as Presley. OK, Joaquin Phoenix was good as Cash but he was the exception hat proved the rule.
So the news that Broadway had mounted “The Million Dollar Quartet” about the day in 1956 when Sun Sessions owner Sam Phillips brought Carl Perkins and the other three together for a jam session put the fear of God in my heart.
This will undoubtedly suck.
Even if it is good (and it won’t be) it sucks. These are guys that defy recreation and a sound which will suffer (which will die ) in a Broadway setting.
After a particularly virulent review a coupla weeks ago, a reader asked me if it had ever crossed my name not to write it. I would ask the producers of “The Million Dollar Quartet” the same question.
