Winner – New England Hardcore and Metal fest – Senseless murders, senseless murders, all we ever get is senseless murders. So there are many reactions and most of them are various degrees of bewilderment. This one would be much better if it wasn’t just two stupid assholes but whatever. Unless it was your 8 year old son blow to bits, life carries on one way or the other. Still, the Metal fest would have been entirely within their rights to let down thousands of teenage boys (and Helen Bach) by cancelling the show in Worcester. It is too their credit that they decided the show must go on. Our reviews are forthcoming.
Loser – Record Store Day – So here we are folks, my fifth year of dissing Record Store Day, Black Sunday is the hope, of course, but let the truth be know, your Ma And Pa store in Chapel Hill is not getting the goodies Amoeba is, and the whole thing is monumental waste of day. And the excitement level in 2013? It sure isn't there at all. Here’s to another year of rock nyc boycotting the entire thing.
