Winner – Mick Farren – How can you call a rock and roll star who died recently of a heart attack? By bring everybody who loved him over to Felix Dennis’ (you know, former lad mag Maxim) to celebrate Mick’s life. Joe Stevens reported for us here, and it is a fitting send off for the Deviants lead singer, who died with his boots on; a rabble rousing, free speeching, free spirit. As Joe (among many people) put it: ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE.
Loser – Elton John – Actually, he kinda is in the p[rocess of releasing his best album in many a long year, which doesn’t make it all that great. But he completely missed the boat in stating that Miley Cyrus was likely to kill herself through excess. Obviously, and as rock nyc has reported many many times, including here earlier this week, Miley is doing a pretty damn credible job of blowing off Hannah Montana and growing up popular.
