I wrote awhile back that I believed T.I. was being harrassed (also, that he was stupid) by the goverment but I thought it was similar to, say, the way Keith Richards was harrassed for years by the goverment.
First time he was jailed he brought it on himself.
Then he was released.
But then his van was released and his van was stopped for no real reason and he was caught somking weed and jailed again. At the time I though, idiot T.I. -now I wonder, why exactly did they stop the van?
Anyway, this successful and very rich MC was jailed again.
Then he got paroled to a half way house a month early on a 11 month sentence (eleven months for pot???) and then jailed again because his manager and two VH-1 producers were discussing business on their way from the jail.
Uh???
Apparently it's against the law and his manager swears up and down he had no idea.
T.I.'s wife Cottie told TMZ: ""It's important that the world know how unfair he's being treated on such minor charges… all because he's T.I. There are way more dangerous and carefree celebrities that get slapped on the wrist and sent on their way. Our family needs him … and because of someone's personal vendetta against him, we have to watch our kids' sad faces everyday when he still doesn't show up at home."
This is one of the most terrifying stories I've heard. This guy is a huge celebrity and they keep on putting him away. Look at it this way: what if it was Jay-Z? Think it would happen. Now, here's the scary part, think it would happen if it was you? OF COURSE IT WOULD. When did this become the USSR.
What did T.I. do? How can you have three sets of rules.
1. The real ones
2. The ones for the rich and famous and powerful
and
3. One for people who piss off the wrong people.
This is a repulsive travesty of justice.
