Who Wrote This?

“Bill Carter had grown up working on the local political campaigns from when he was in college, so he knew almost everybody of importance in the state. And people he had worked for in Arkansas had now become some of the most powerful Democrats in Washiington. His mentor was Wilbur Millfs, from kensett, Chairman Of the House And Means committee, second most powerful man after the president.”
John Grisham setting up a major character in some trial by jury soap, you think?
No, this is Keith Richards near the beginning of his autobiography “Life”.
Now, unless Keith had a personality transfer when he bonked his head, he couldn’t have written that paragraph. Thank god but still. So his co-wtiter journalist journalist James Fox wrote that.
I bought the bio New york times claimed it was authentically Keith richards. 4% (yeah, I own a kindle) in, let me save you some time pop pickers: it is a schitzzy nightmare of interminal double backs, and convoluted (read: bad) paragraphs and Keith rewritten as a tape recorder runs. It is as if Fox took his tapes , rewrote Keiths words and added structure. So far? It stinks.
Chuck Berry’s bio was not this.
