I read yesterday that Fla. Governor, Charlie Crist, has pardoned Jim Morrison of The Doors for his indecent exposure charge, 40 years after the fact.
According to Crist, “After reviewing the case and getting briefed on it, more and more it seems like a real injustice was done. It seemed to me that it would be a tragedy to have this be the lasting legacy of his life. I just wanted to give an opportunity for forgiveness.” Thank you, that very forgiving of you Mr. Crist. He continues, “It’s the symbolism of doing what’s right. But I’m pretty sure that it’s more than symbolic to his family.” Very symbolic indeed, Mr. Crist. Thank you for your holy and thoughtful words.
WFT is this shit? Why? To make his family happy? Thats stupid. Morrison was a rockstar, a modern day Kanye almost. He did WHATEVER he wanted, with the most minimal consequences. And whether or not he actually ‘exposed’ himself to the crowd at his show, ( I’m sure they didnt mind), thats besides the point. The cops felt threatened, and they abused the little power some other idiot had giving them, and arrested him. Threatened by a man who was a leader. A leader of a counter-culture movement. He represented change, being different, being an individual, and doing WHATEVER he felt like.
Now you can look down at that, ( I occasionally yell at Kanye for being a pompous @$$hole,) but then I remember he’s just being true to himself; acting how Mr. West acts, and staying in tune with his star fucking player, Himself. Sometimes people forget to do that.
So in honor of The great James Morrison whip it out, rock out with your cock out, and always be yourself.
