One of daytrotters most perfect sessions and recorded in the tundras of Chicago (where I bet the guys were shivering and California dreaming),, all the songs are great but the cover of Tom Waits “Come On Up The House” is just about perfect.
Neo folkie Little Wings (Kyle Fields), from Florida, musta been freezing as well. But this intense and intensely melodic, acoustic strum is another perfect session. Another session where you can’t go wrong, it’s all wrought, even overwrought, love songs, but “Old Mr. Natural” is gorgeous beyond belief.
