What Not To Sing On Your X-Factor Audition

I realize I could well be fired for this BUT I watched the 8 minute teaser for Simon Cowell's "The X Factor" -American idol with a wider range, and, while I wouldn't say I liked it, I was intrigued to figure that if i'm not going out that night, they can have me for 15 minutes.

Yes, I said it, and I'm glad I said it.

I never thought Cowell did snark that well (me? I do snark that well) and I never thought he had such great ears either. But I did think he made an unsentimental anchor to the jury on American Idol and I think he will perform the same function on "The X Factor".

Here are his  five songs you should never sing at an audition per Billboard:

 R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly"
– Etta James' "At Last" ("I'm allergic to it," he says.)
– The Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody" ("Whoever said that was my favorite song was joking.")
– Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours"
– John Legend's "Ordinary People
