Rock NYC is nearly a year old and my first review was Bob Mould at Joe’s Pub so it is hardly a shocker to discover I was listening to a lotta Husker Du, Sugar and solo Mould. Great set as well.
Also, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah’s (It’s Blitz was relatively new), the godawful Prince triple, Mastadon and Metallica on the metal front, the new at the time Diana Krall, Glenn Tilbrook, quite a bit of Weezy, Wild Light, “Boom Pow Pow” (released in Feb and months before the album dropped) and Chuck Berry obscurity “Ramona, Say Yes”… but not as good a month as this one appears set to be… Some of the reason for that is because I am much heavier into indie now.
