I hate bands with girls, with the exception of like, three. One of the many that I despise is We Are The In Crowd. Essentially, when I listen to them, I feel like ripping my lungs out. Yeah.
So they covered a song by Brand New- “Sic Transit Gloria…Glory Fades”. This was an absolute sin and never again will I be able to look at the band the same way. First of all, no one should ever cover Brand New, especially a band as mediocre and terrible as WATIC. They have no talent at all and it’s an insult to the band. It’s a slap in the face to even post it.
With all technicalities, there is not an ounce of effort. They did literally nothing to make the song original or different, and so it was boring. Then, the guy has an equally boring voice- there’s no flair, no way I could tell the difference between him and anyone else in that “genre”. The chick sucks too, only she tries to hard in the video and tries to look hot when in reality the whole thing is a joke. Like there is not a single redeeming factor, not even the backing band. What they’re doing is basically printing out tabs and playing them verbatim, like amateurs.
I’m not sure what I expected from clicking on the link, but all my hopes of it being decent were shattered as soon as the vocalists opened their mouths. A ridiculous sacrilege.
Well…at least they know who Brand New are, I guess.
