Waiting For Infinity by Mike Nessing

Advance buzz on a record release is always received by me with a grain of salt. However, in the case of “Fidelity” , the new collaboration between Chrissie Hynde and JP. Jones, i’m practically drooling with anticipation.
Regular readers around here may remember me blogging about this a couple of months ago, where Chrissie came right out and said it’s possibly the best thing she’s ever done. Ms Hynde is not one to mince words or overstate so in this case, I believe her whole heartedly.
With the release of the single “If You Let Me” due in July and the full record slated for August, the single plus 4 live versions of tracks from the album, recorded at radio station KRCW have surfaced at www.myspace.com/chrissiehyndejpjones. Internet buzz (oh boy, I am so sick of that phrase) is initially concurring with Ms Hynde’s earlier bold statements, adding that the tracks have the shimmering pop sheen combined with the rock and roll bite of The Pretenders best songs.
Myspace is verboten at my place of business, but you can be sure that as soon as I am able to get to my home computer, I’ll be checking this stuff out.
