Last month we told you about City Parks Foundation search for their Summer App where you can find everything you want to know about Summerstage 2013 in one place.
Summerstage gave you (and me!) the opportunity to design their App and get rich and famous.
What I did with the opportunity was get an early night BUT NOW I CAN REDEEM MYSELF!
So I performed my civic duty today and voted for the Summerstage App of my dreams and now you should do the same (and only one more day to do it in!). I really do enjoy the entire concept here, it connects the City Parks Foundation (A nonprofit foundation) with the most skilled of our non-pro Wizards and gives a lucky person the opportunity to have their app used by many people.
There is something not just American dream-y about the idea, but dream-y and hi-tech. It is Broadway lit large: you are going back out there a nobody but you’re coming back a star of the new Tech highway. And it is New York because only in New York could you have a non-profit large enough to require an App for their free shows! It seems so much a part of us, the same way Central and Astoria Park are a part of my life. It is a summer time jump for joy Sunday afternoon the sound of music type fun.
One of the joys of working at Rock NYC is getting to conduct my business with the guys at the City Parks Foundation. They have the most pleasant of responsibilities: making our leisure time is more fun… with the help of SummerStage!
