Uncut’s Top Albums Of The Decade: Hmmmm…..

Not for nothing but NME offshoot Uncut name bedwetters White Stripes  album of the decade and not a single dance, R&B, soul,  or blues abum sneaks in. I mean, I thought rock was country plus R&B. Not in the 2000s apparently. Rock NYC’s albums of the decade featured hip hop and dance pretty prominently. Anyway, here it is…

1. White Blood Cells – White Stripes (it is their best album)
2. Love And Theft – Bob Dylan (it is his best album of the decade by far)
3 A Ghost IS Born – Wilco
4. Brain Wilson (A Great album  -definitely in my top twenty of the decade)
5. Is This It – The Strokes
6. Raising Sand – Robert Plant and Alison Krause
7. Funeral – Arcade Frie
8. Modern Times – Bob Dylan
9. Heartbreaker – Ryan Adams (Yeah but if I was going I’d go with Gold)
10. Fleet Foxes (Gets The Mike Nessing vote)
11. Yoshimi Battles – The Flaming Lips
12. Third – Portishead (I forgot this one)
13. Time – Gillian Welch
14. XTRMNTR – Primal Screams  (It’s between this and Spider Bags for 10th spot on Rock NYC’s)
